What's New in v0.28.36

Qwen Code joins Plannotator: the Inbox, plan review, Ask AI and the installers. Plans now open in the Clean look. Inbox messages can hold live HTML and diagrams, the Inbox has a Feedback button, and plannotator inbox gets status, stop and restart. 28 PRs.

After you update, each agent's prompt cache misses once, because the Inbox tool description, the session reminder and the rules-file note changed.

Qwen Code in the Inbox

plannotator inbox connects Qwen Code the way it connects Gemini CLI. It adds its own entry to Qwen's settings.json and keeps the file's comments. Qwen Code shows in Settings → Agents, and its sessions are tagged in the Inbox.

When you reply to a running Qwen Code session, the reply arrives in it as its next turn. For this, Plannotator registers itself with Qwen Code (0.24 or later) as a trusted sender, so Qwen does not ask you before it takes the reply. Settings → Agents turns this off. Sessions that cannot be woken (Windows, qwen -p) get the reply on their next read.

Live HTML, SVG and diagrams in a message

An agent can put an html block in a message, and the Inbox draws it as a live, sandboxed page in the thread, in your theme. An svg block draws as a picture. Each one has Code and Full screen under it. Agents are told they can do this.

Send feedback from the Inbox

Feedback, above Settings in the sidebar, sends a message to the Plannotator team, with an optional category and email. The dialog shows exactly what is sent. Prompt your agent to send feedback copies a prompt: your agent asks you for the feedback, shows you the text, and sends it with the new plannotator feedback command only after you say yes.

plannotator inbox status, stop and restart

status shows the Inbox's URL, pid and version, and says when the running Inbox is a different version from your plannotator. stop ends only the Inbox of this data folder. restart starts the new version, and an agent that calls during the restart gets the new Inbox. The command shapes come from @rmohta's fork.

Plannotator

Qwen Code support

Plan review opens when a Qwen Code agent leaves plan mode (Qwen Code 0.13.0 or later). After you approve in Plannotator, Qwen Code still asks you to confirm in the terminal: a Qwen hook cannot approve that step. /plannotator-review, /plannotator-annotate and /plannotator-last work in Qwen Code.

Ask AI offers a Qwen Code provider when qwen is on your PATH, and uses it by default in a Qwen Code session. It runs in Qwen's plan mode, with the editing tools turned off.

The install scripts set up the Qwen Code extension and skills when they find Qwen Code. --skip-qwen (-SkipQwen on Windows) turns this off. The session-log reader and the findings on Qwen's plan confirmation come from @NonoElRobot's Qwen Code port.

Plans open in the Clean look

Plan review and annotate now open in Clean, the document edge to edge. Grid is one switch away in Settings → Display.

If you kept Grid, you move to Clean once and see a short notice. Pick Grid there to keep it; you are not asked again.

Claude Code Plugin: The plugin and the plannotator binary update separately, so run the install script above as well. In a terminal:

claude plugin marketplace update plannotator
claude plugin update plannotator@plannotator

Then restart Claude Code. Inside Claude Code, run /plugin marketplace update plannotator, then open /plugin → Installed → plannotator → Update now.

Pi:

OpenCode: Re-run the install script above. It also clears the OpenCode 2 plugin cache.
