What's new
- RTSS overlay units, colors and opacity (#98): right-click a reading for Rename unit… and its own Value color and Unit color. Units now sit right after their numbers and take the value's color unless you pick another.
- The Layout menu adds Space before units and Opacity, from 100 % down to 20 %. A row can use its own opacity; red warnings stay fully opaque.
- Shift+click a color to give it to every row or reading.
- Logon delay (#97): Settings → General has after … s beside the startup profile. It sets how long Windows waits after you sign in before mVolt+ starts, from 10 to 300 seconds. The default stays 10.
- Startup on laptops (#97): if the laptop's own control app changes the GPU power request or CPU+GPU budget right after the startup profile applies, mVolt+ applies the profile again after 5, 10 and 20 seconds. If the laptop still changes it, mVolt+ keeps the laptop's value and shows a warning; raise the logon delay then.
- Dynamic Boost on laptops (#96): the watt cap now also raises Dynamic Boost's GPU maximum, so Dynamic Boost no longer pulls the power back down after you raise it. Apply accepts the power request Dynamic Boost sets up to that maximum, and Reset returns it.
- XOC voltage range turns on by itself when the voltage limits are already above 1.15 V, for example after a BIOS override raised them. Profiles then apply in the XOC range whatever they were saved with. This automatic range isn't saved as your choice and turns off again once the limits are back in the standard range.
Fixes
- Driver 621.01 voltage offsets: a voltage limit between the driver's 5 mV steps, such as an MSVDD maximum of 996 mV, no longer fails with "Voltage offsets could not be changed". Voltage boost now moves in whole 5 mV steps.
- Driver 621.01 voltage offsets: after a restart, the Voltage boost slider shows the restored Boost as soon as the offsets are verified, instead of 0 %, and a profile saved before then no longer stores 0 %.
- The power cap's change preview now also shows the GPU maximum it changes.
Known limitations
- The laptop power changes were built from the reports in #96 and #97 and are not yet tested on a laptop here. Please report how they work for you.
- Before going back to v0.50.11 on a laptop, choose Reset on the power cap. v0.50.11 can't read the record this version keeps for a raised CPU+GPU budget and then blocks power-cap changes.
- v0.50.11 drops the overlay's units, per-reading colors, opacity and unit spacing when it saves, and its startup task goes back to 10 seconds.
