What's new
- RTSS overlay editor (#92): Settings → Monitoring now has an editor that draws the overlay row by row. Drag readings to build your own rows. Drag a gap to change that line's spacing, or Shift+drag it to change all lines; a double-click resets. Values start on one line next to the spacing marks, in aligned columns.
- New Limit reasons reading shows what holds the clock back: Power, Temp, REL, OP, Util, Idle or Other.
- Right-click a reading for display formats and Warn above…, or a row for Rename…, Hide name and colors.
- The Layout menu has Gaming, Tuning and Benchmark presets, Save layout… for your own, and Copy layout / Paste layout to share them. Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y undo and redo.
- A reading without a fresh value now shows
--and keeps its place, so rows no longer jump. - With the overlay off, the editor still shows live GPU load, Limit reasons and power limit. Readings that only the overlay collects, such as VRAM and CPU values, show
--until it's on.
- GPUs in TCC mode (#71): a PC whose NVIDIA GPUs are all in TCC mode now opens them with the same controls instead of finding no GPU. A control the driver doesn't offer in TCC mode shows as unavailable, and BIOS override is unlikely to work there.
- Portable mode: BIOS override recovery data now stays in the portable folder on any drive, including USB sticks, network drives, FAT and exFAT. Copying or deleting a new portable folder no longer asks for administrator permission.
Fixes
- BIOS override: Remove BIOS override now also works when recovery data can't be saved or another program holds it open.
- BIOS override: mVolt+ no longer sets or checks owners and permissions on its folders, so Repair permissions is gone.
- Uninstall mVolt+ now also removes portable data on FAT, exFAT and RAM drives, and folders only administrators can change, which it used to leave behind.
- Start with Windows no longer refuses or skips its update when Program Files or its folder links to another place.
- Apply changes now works from a portable copy on a write-protected drive.
- Details: the black bar behind a profile's name is gone.
Known limitations
- A portable copy on a write-protected drive can't save BIOS override recovery data, and automatic Apply stays blocked there. Apply changes and Remove BIOS override still work.
- On a FAT or exFAT drive, a crash during a save can lose BIOS override recovery data.
- Before going back to v0.50.10, remove BIOS overrides: v0.50.10 can't open a recovery folder this version made. It also keeps only which overlay readings are selected, not your rows, names or colors.
- A portable folder that already holds BIOS override data from v0.50.10 keeps its permissions, so copying, zipping or deleting it still asks for administrator permission. Uninstall mVolt+ removes it.
