AI-DLC Workflow v2.7.0

AI-DLC 2.7.0 improves how workflows start, review work, and move through Construction across all seven supported harnesses.

What's new

  • Existing PRDs, vision documents, and requirements can be used as workflow input.
  • Questions include clearer context, and previously recorded answers are reused.
  • Classic and Express scopes provide shorter paths for common work.
  • Domain Design and Contract Design improve boundaries between implementation units.
  • Testing Posture is carried into Code Generation, with bounded Build and Test recovery.
  • Autonomous Construction and team-owned units can run across worktrees or independent clones.
  • Reviews are bound to the exact artifact and source state that was inspected.
  • Focused CodeKB rescans preserve existing knowledge instead of replacing unrelated content.
  • Plugin authoring now includes create, validate, build, test, selection, sync, and doctor support.
  • Session handling, hooks, human approvals, and delegated-agent attribution are more consistent across Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Cursor, Kiro CLI, Kiro IDE, and opencode.

Upgrade

Replace the complete dist/<harness>/ tree while no AI-DLC process is running, then run:

/aidlc plugin sync

Custom or plugin stages using reviewer: must also define review_artifact:.

Codex users must regenerate hook trust entries and start a fresh session. Claude Code users must approve project hooks and fully restart.

Existing 2.6.124 workflows need no migration. For older installations, review the required migration steps in the changelog.
