  • The SDK's core modules (such as sdk-core, aws-core, regions, auth, and the protocol modules) and service modules (such as s3 and dynamodb) now include a generated META-INF/software.amazon.awssdk/<artifactId>/version.properties resource whose version key contains the SDK minor version (for example 2.56.x).

• Bugfixes

  • Fixed DurationAttributeConverter negative fractional duration serialization and parsing. Values like Duration.ofMillis(-1) now serialize as -0.001000000 and round trip correctly. Previously stored values are not corrected, and older SDK versions will read negative sub-second values written by this version with the wrong sign. Fixes #7060.

• Features

  • AWS HealthOmics now supports private workflow runs using VPC resources shared across accounts via AWS RAM. A new optional vpcOwnerAccountId field in CreateConfiguration's VpcConfig allows customers to specify the account that owns the shared subnets and security groups.

Amazon Pinpoint SMS Voice V2

• Features

  • DescribePhoneNumbers and DescribeSenderIds now return an optional PricingTier field that indicates whether a phone number, sender ID, short code, or long code is classified as Domestic or International, enabling customers to identify origination identities eligible for local pricing.

  • Amazon SageMaker Training Session is a managed service for training on shared GPU infrastructure. It provides full lifecycle management of training sessions and exposes low-level primitive APIs for operations like forward-backward passes, optimizer steps, and state management.
