[4.6.0] - 2026-11-03

🪄 Added

  • Added data key rotation with resumable, batched re-encryption for columns protected by the KMS Encryption Plugin (PR #2201, documentation).
  • Added rwTransferSessionStateOnSwitch to let read/write splitting applications skip session-state application when switching to an already-open reader or writer connection (PR #2194, documentation).
  • Added the wrapper version and effective plugin codes to Aurora PostgreSQL connection metadata, and added millisecond values to connect-time and execution-time logs (PR #1432).

🐛 Fixed

  • Bounded the important-event and JDBC method-call histories included in exception context, with configurable limits, so their memory use does not grow with query volume (PR #2189, documentation).
  • Fixed the Remote Query Cache Plugin accepting a cache hint after the start of a query; a cache hint must now prefix the query (PR #2188, documentation).
  • Fixed Enhanced Failure Monitoring continuing to monitor the previous host after the wrapper connection changed (PR #2161, documentation).
  • Fixed stale-DNS reconnects leaving the stale routed host in the host list after connecting to the current writer (PR #2162, documentation).
  • Fixed stale Enhanced Failure Monitoring v2 registrations affecting a newer monitoring context for the same connection (PR #2195, documentation).
  • Fixed Aurora PostgreSQL connection options being passed unencoded when the wrapper creates HikariCP or c3p0 pooled connections (PR #2197, documentation).
  • Fixed MariaDB data sources not applying the wrapper loginTimeout as a connect timeout, and added warnings when sub-second wrapper timeouts truncate to zero for target drivers that accept only whole seconds (PR #2198, documentation).
  • Fixed session-state transfer and reset ordering so settings are applied before autocommit is disabled and uncommitted work is rolled back rather than committed when a physical connection is switched or closed (PR #2199, documentation).
  • Fixed KMS Encryption Plugin parameter mapping for repeated and out-of-order placeholders, and made statements that cannot safely map parameters to encrypted columns fail closed by default (PR #2209, documentation).
