[4.5.0] - 2026-10-13

🪄 Added

  • Added opt-in tenant-aware caching to the Remote Query Cache Plugin through cacheEnableDatabaseMultiTenancy. When enabled, supported PostgreSQL role and search_path state, or MySQL/MariaDB account, role, and database state, are incorporated into cache keys to reduce cross-tenant cache collisions. This provides best-effort hardening, not a guaranteed tenant-isolation boundary (PR #2140, documentation).

🐛 Fixed

  • Fixed plain Statement reads not being balanced under queryLevelLoadBalancing, so both Statement and PreparedStatement reads now honor a reader rotation (PR #2139, documentation).
  • Fixed read/write roles not being verified for host lists supplied in the connection string; a host whose actual role disagrees with the connection string is now corrected in the host list and reported, so reader and writer selection use the verified role (PR #2137, documentation).
  • Fixed defects found by a full architecture review, including the Data Local Cache Plugin being unbounded in both staleness and size (it is now bounded by dataCacheTtlMs and dataCacheMaxSize, which reject negative values), the KMS encryption annotation being documented as stripped from the statement when it is in fact sent to the database and visible in server-side query logs, the differing abort deadlines of efm and efm2, and the weightedRandom and highestWeight selectors being applied to an Aurora topology where weight records load rather than preference (PR #2136, documentation).
  • Fixed the AWS Secrets Manager plugin building a new Secrets Manager client for every connect retry; the client is now reused across the retries of a connection attempt (PR #2130, documentation).
  • Fixed PostgreSQL target datasource settings not being applied to an XA connection on Java 24 (PR #2129, documentation).
  • Fixed the Blue/Green plugin staying pinned to a deleted deployment; its collected state is now discarded and the new green endpoint rediscovered without restarting the application, and an unreachable green environment is now reported at WARNING instead of only at FINEST (PR #2117, documentation).
  • Fixed refreshed host measurements not being published to the load-aware host selectors, which left lowestLoad and the other load-based strategies selecting on stale CPU and replica lag values (PR #2115, documentation).
