Choose the interface language yourself
The interface used to follow the browser's language list, with no way to override it. That isn't always what you want. An iPad takes the list from the system language, and you may prefer the English field names the documentation uses. The account dialog (the gear beside your name) now has a Language setting (#12, thanks @WaaaghNL):
- Automatic follows the browser as before, and shows which language that comes to.
- Each of the eleven languages is listed in its own name, so you can find yours whatever language the page is in.
- The choice is stored with your account, so it follows you to another browser. Choosing a different language reloads the page you're on.
Preferences travel with the login
When Apply to the other nodes is ticked, the appearance and language now go to the other nodes along with the login. A node that has no translation for the chosen language keeps its own setting.
Receiving the login from another node now signs people out of that node only when the password, username or second factor actually changed. Before, every push signed everyone out of the other nodes, even one that only changed the email or appearance.
Upgrading
Nothing to do. Until you choose a language, it stays on Automatic.
