Highlights

Attune can send one plain-text rightsizing report per cluster each ISO week, to Slack, Teams, or both. The report stays off until you enable it, so an upgrade does not start posting.

New features

Weekly rightsizing report. The leader checks at start and then every 15 minutes, and posts at most one message for the current ISO week. The first chance to send is Monday 00:00 UTC. A missed week sends one report on the next start. The message includes the week, policy counts, the monthly gap between current requests and the current recommendation, and resize results from the last 7 days. Those dollars use costPricing or the built-in rates, times 730 hours. They are not a cloud bill, and they are not dollars saved this week. Store the webhook URL in a Secret in the operator namespace. The chart does not create that Secret and does not put the URL in values. Teams accepts a Power Platform Workflows URL only. Office 365 connector hosts are rejected. Set fleetReport.clusterId when more than one cluster posts to the same channel. Guide: Weekly report (#1056, #1058).

A week with no policies records a stamp and skips the chat message. The same week is not sent later. The optional alert AttuneWeeklyReportStale stays off until you set metrics.prometheusRule.rules.weeklyReportStale.enabled and the report is enabled. After one successful post, it fires when the newer of the last post and the last no-policy week is older than 8 days. A report that has never posted leaves the last-success gauge at 0 and stays quiet. The overview dashboard shows the last post and the last no-policy week (#1058, #1060).

Upgrading

No CRD change and no policy YAML change. Upgrade the chart to 0.1.35, or set the image tag to 0.1.35 or v0.1.35. The image is still built with Go 1.27.2.

weeklyReport.enabled stays false. If you turn the report on, create the webhook Secret yourself. Leave the stale alert off unless the report is enabled. The chart does not create ConfigMap attune-weekly-report. The operator uses that object as the once-per-week stamp.

The CloudWatch client is v1.74.0. You do not change your CloudWatch metrics or your Prometheus server for this release.
