github attestantio/vouch v1.14.0-alpha.2
Release 1.14.0-alpha.2

pre-release3 hours ago

This is an alpha feature release for Vouch.

This release is not suitable for running on mainnet. Please only run this release on testnets.

Major changes in this release include:

  • update go-eth2-client to v0.30.0
  • deprecate controller.max-attestation-delay, controller.attestation-aggregation-delay, controller.max-sync-committee-message-delay and controller.sync-committee-aggregation-delay; they now apply to pre-gloas slots only, gloas slots always use the spec-derived deadlines with no way to set an earlier one, and each one set to a non-zero value logs a warning at startup
    • refuse to start unless each of those four options is 0 or a positive duration with a unit that is less than the slot duration, such as 2s; viper previously read "abc" as 0, 4 as 4ns, and accepted negative durations and durations past the end of the slot
  • add builderconfig.fallback-min-bid and builderconfig.fallback-builder-boost-factor, fallback gloas ePBS P2P values used when the execution configuration does not supply them, including with no configuration URL, no configuration loaded yet, or a version 1 configuration
    • refuse to start when builderconfig.fallback-min-bid or builderconfig.fallback-builder-boost-factor is not a non-negative integer, instead of silently using 0
    • name the key and the bad value when blockrelay.fallback-gas-limit is not a non-negative integer
  • min_value no longer sets the gloas ePBS min_bid; a configuration with min_value but no ePBS min_bid logs a warning naming epbs_builder_config.min_bid once rather than on every fetch
  • direct-builder entries may omit min_bid and builder_boost_factor, inheriting the P2P values resolved for the proposer being served

Major changes in prior alpha releases include:

  • support gloas beacon block proposal paths accepting the beacon node's auction result:
    • self-build: request an ePBS proposal with its payload, sign the beacon block and matching execution payload envelope, then publish the block followed by its envelope.
    • trustless builder: request, sign, and publish the beacon block only.
  • support the payload timeliness committee duty, with the first and majority new payloadattestationdata strategies.
  • derive attestation, aggregation, and sync-committee related deadlines from spec
  • update go-eth2-client to a gloas pseudo-version
