Coding agents now work directly in Athas chats. Install agents from the ACP Registry, sign in with the options they support, and connect configured MCP servers. Their plans, questions, permissions, tool calls, terminal output, and usage details stay with the conversation.
You can review agent edits one hunk at a time. See the proposed changes in the editor, keep the parts you want, and reject the rest. Athas also tracks edits across chats and keeps your unsaved work when an agent changes a file.
The workbench has a clearer layout. Editor tabs share the title bar with project navigation, the activity rail makes agents and other views easier to find, and Settings opens as a page with its own sidebar. Markdown preview opens in the same tab and can be toggled from the breadcrumb.
Agent conversations are easier to follow and control. Tool calls and file diffs appear in the chat timeline, terminal commands can run from the composer, and edited prompts show what changed. Agent sessions retain their options and history, while prompts that need your attention remain visible across tabs.
Linux and WSL projects work more reliably. Athas runs Git operations inside the WSL distribution for repositories on WSL shares, improves Linux startup and packaging, and supports the required host libraries in release archives.
