This cycle is defined by three themes: broad new board enablement, a coordinated U-Boot v2026.10 refresh across Rockchip and Allwinner platforms, and substantial Rockchip kernel, media, and wireless work.

Board support expanded on multiple SoC families, including the EasePi R1 and Pine64 Quartz64 Zero on RK3568, the ArmSoM CM7s IO board and Boardcon EM3588 on RK3588, Forlinx OK3572-C, and the Skysi X5 laptop. The Banana Pi BPI-M4 (RTD1395) and Cubieboard 4 returned with full enablement including A80 cpufreq, thermal, HDMI, and audio. Qualcomm support advanced with the Lenovo Legion Y700 Gen 4 on an SM8750 edge kernel bumped to 7.2.11, while the NVIDIA Jetson Nano joined the uefi-arm64-dt target.

A sweeping bootloader refresh moved numerous platforms to U-Boot v2026.10, TF-A lts-v2.14.11, and refreshed DDR blobs, covering Radxa RK3399, RockPro64, Rock Pi 4C, NanoPi M4, Orange Pi 4 variants, Tinker Board 2, Mixtile Blade3 and Edge2, and the Recomputer RK3588 devkit. GRUB images gained a separate ext2/ext4 /boot partition and now honour UEFISIZE, and the build framework switched to the new git.u-boot-project.org upstream host.

On the kernel side, the RK3588 gained working 6 Gbps SoC SATA and CAN node support, while HDMI received a 31.5 MHz clock for RK356x and a 16-bit audio fix for RK3576. Rockchip wireless work includes WPA3/SAE handling in bcmdhd and backported rtw88 support for rtl8723bs. Amlogic saw multiple meson64 VDEC fixes for H.264, MPEG-1/2, and GStreamer/FFmpeg start failures, and Sophgo SG2000 gained H.264 encoder and JPEG unit support in coda.
