✨ What's Changed
🆕 New
- ✅ The HTTP 406 error is fixed
The error "Fastly anti-bot challenge still failing (HTTP 406)", Mozilla's security check refusing the app, is fixed. It stopped people from adding accounts and, on some networks, from connecting at all with accounts already added. The app now gets past the check on its own: no relay, no other program, nothing to set. - 🌐 Sign in with the browser: on Windows and Android, an account can now be added on Mozilla's own sign-in page inside the app, where the email code and any CAPTCHA are entered too. Choose it under Accounts → Sign-in method → Sign in with the browser. The page reaches Mozilla even on networks where some of its server addresses do not work, with the VPN off and before any account is added.
- 💾 Backup and import: press ⋮ beside Add account to save your accounts and settings in one file, or to add the accounts of a backup. The web panel has the same menu, so an account added on a phone can be moved to a server in a few clicks (guide).
- 🔗 HTTP/1.1: a new choice under Settings → Connection → Protocol. Every site connection gets its own TLS connection to Mozilla, for networks that slow down or cut long connections. HTTP/2 stays the default.
- 🌐 IP version: choose how the app reaches Mozilla's servers: Auto (IPv4 first, then IPv6), both at once (dual-stack), IPv6 first, IPv4 only, or IPv6 only.
- 📏 Custom MTU: set the VPN interface's MTU under Settings → Connection; it shows this device's own value until you change it.
🐞 Fixed
- 🔑 Adding accounts and staying connected: when Mozilla's security check refused adding an account or renewing its access, the app now takes Mozilla's other sign-in route, so the account is added and keeps connecting.
- 🔁 IPv6 fallback: IPv6 addresses of Mozilla's servers are now found and tried when IPv4 does not connect.
