v2.0.0 is officially released!
There have been no changes since Released Candidate 5 (-RC5).
Throughout the release candidate phase, many bugs and use cases have been found and fixed. Mostly, those fixes involved supporting non-standard or non-ascii characters in media file names and file paths.
I am confident that Pro7 Media Sweeper is now ready for public release with no major issues or bugs. But, if any issues are found, please submit a bug report at GitHub.com/arlinsandbulte/Pro7-Media-Sweeper/issues.
Changes since v1.0 release:
- Completely re-written in Python language.
- Support both Mac and Windows platforms.
- Use Google Protocol Buffer API to decode and parse Pro7 files (API reversed engineered by Dan Own).
- Update GUI to be more modern and user friendly.
- Include built-in update check
- Add log file output.
- Add undo sweep feature to restore files from a previous sweep.
- Support Unicode characters in file name and file paths such as 'ñ’ & 'ñ' (any valid Unicode character in a file name or path).
- Support single quotes or apostrophes in file name and file paths.
