What's new?

No more forking. Just plug templates into your existing apps.
Use three new widgets in one awesome Slider so your users can slide between numbers.
Tons of Table improvements and fixes amongst other fixes to Google Sheets and JS Objects.

🚀 Features

  • Bring templates right into your current app. No more forking into your workspace as a new app. [#14514]
  • Introducing Sliders with not one, not two, but three widgets—Range, Number, and Category! Set a range of values and use the slider in each widget to see them change between the range. Thank us when your end-users tell you they love your app. [#15712]

💪🏾 Improvements

  • We’ve upgraded our Camera widget so you can take quality pictures, even on your phones. OnePlus and Apple have a #CapturedOnAppsmith thing coming for them. [#16646]
  • Row operations on the Table now ignore interactive column types like a Button or an Icon. “Row it, don’t rock it” is our mantra for Tables. [#16648]
  • When JavaScript isn’t enough to get big CSV data into tables right, we rise to the challenge and do it natively. [#16689]
  • To help you know you have duplicate variable and entity names in your code without telling you to be more creative, we now show more informative error messages when you mark queries in JS Objects to run on page load. [#16634]
  • Importing URLs via CURL now shows up right so you don’t curl up in frustration. [#16549]
  • JS Toggles were misplaced between where they were needed and where they were not. We have now swapped their places so they show up when you most need them. [#16204, #16958]
  • Maps gets a facelift with fonts from your selected theme for your app. [#16922]
  • Adding to Project Reskinning’s progress is now the Image widget with an all new style and download controls. [#16787]

🐛 Bug fixes

  • We now handle multiple header rows on Google Sheets for those of you who like their Sheets columns nested and their patience untested. [#16883]
  • If you wanted to disable EditAction buttons like Save and Discard on your Tables, you can do that now. Save yourself some trouble and discard any idea that we aren’t as great as you thought. [#16693]
  • The last columns on your Table didn’t like being last, so they would add a gap next to them no matter how you resized them. We have told them not to throw tantrums. Let us know if listen to you. [#16448]
  • If you add three filters to your Table, then change your mind and remove a filter, the remaining filters work as they should. Because, why shouldn’t they? [#16904]
  • Now you can use link text for your links on Tables without errors. That way, your end-users will know what they are clicking without flooding your Inbox with e-mails titled, “Hey, what’s that link?” [#16425]
  • navigateTo under onClick in the Property pane threw an error if you changed the destination. That doesn’t happen anymore, you are in control of the destination, and we hope your users like where you take them. [#17067]
  • We have fixed dropdowns in widgets’ Property pane so they don’t overflow on your screen. The only thing we want overflowing is your happiness using Appsmith. [#16878]
  • With multiple on-page-load functions in a JS Object, you can now confidently choose “No” for as many functions as you like without stopping other functions from running when the page loads. [#16137]
  • We were always strict with the order of the parts in multi-part requests which led to some NullPointerExceptions for us and pesky errors for you. We are less strict now, they can be in any order, and you don’t see those errors. Win-win-win. [#16888]
  • Sometimes Git-connected apps crashed with a "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'properties')" error. They won’t now, but expect a more Modern theme to show up instead of the theme you selected. This lets you continue to work on your app while we work on a better fix. [#16894]
