Release Summary

This patch is a re-release of 11.4.0 with bug-fixes to action plugin symlinks.
All action plugins have been renamed to use the `ios_`` prefix to match their module names.
The previous release(11.4.0) fixed bugs across ios_acls (TCP ACL parsing), ios_config (multi-range interfaces), ios_snmp_users (authentication protocol), ios_static_routes (BFD crash), and terminal error handling.
The previous release(11.4.0) deprecated the src parameter's automatic Jinja2 template processing in ios_config (removal March 2028), recommending migration to the new content parameter with ansible.builtin.template lookup.
The previous release(11.4.0) added new features including the content parameter for pre-rendered configurations in ios_config and purge_keys parameter in ios_user for managing multiple SSH keys (max 2 per user).
The previous release(11.4.0) updated dependencies and CI by bumping ansible.netcommon from >=8.1.0 to >=8.5.2 and modernizing integration tests to add stable-2.20 coverage while dropping stable-2.16.
The previous release(11.4.0) fixed documentation in ios_bgp_global by updating stale EXAMPLES that referenced removed parameter names causing validation errors.

Bugfixes

  • action plugins - Remove orphaned legacy action plugins bgp.py, linkagg.py, lldp.py and logging.py that had no corresponding module.
  • action plugins - Rename multiple resource module action plugins to use the ios_ prefix to match their module names and fix action-plugin-docs sanity failures blocking Automation Hub certification.
  • meta/runtime.yml - Add plugin_routing.action redirects for all short-name aliases so alias-based invocations continue to resolve the renamed action plugins.
  • plugins/action/ios.py - Remove unused warnings list and unreachable dead code block that never executed due to warnings always being empty.
  • sanity - Remove stale action-plugin-docs ignore entries and delete ignore-2.14.txt and ignore-2.15.txt as the collection requires ansible>=2.16.0.
