SlipNet 2.5.6
New: Soar tunnel
- Soar and Soar + SSH profiles, using Soar by Lantern. Soar sends through all of your resolvers at once (over UDP, TCP/53, or both) and recovers quickly from packet loss.
- Resolver discovery: Soar can find more working resolvers by itself. Each one is checked against the server's signed handshake, so hijacked or blocking resolvers are skipped.
- Discovery list: choose where discovery looks:
- Built-in: Soar's bundled lists, optionally with your network's country.
- App list: the app's own resolver list (the scanner's default).
- Custom: your own list, up to 5,000
IPorIP:portentries.
- DNS over TCP: Auto, On, Only, or Off, for networks where UDP/53 is blocked.
- Soar can be the outer layer of a chain, or run behind a SOCKS5 layer.
- Available in both the full and lite versions.
- Server: SlipGate v1.6.8 or later (
--transport soar), or a standardsoar-server(see the README).
Updates (full version)
- Tor 0.4.9.15, built with OpenSSL 3.5.9, libevent 2.1.13, and zlib 1.3.2.
- NaiveProxy 154, which blocks the compromised eMudhra intermediate certificates.
Fixes
- Chains: each layer now connects to the next layer's actual listening port.
- Traffic counters:
- NaiveProxy totals reset when you disconnect.
- Bypassed (direct) traffic, dropped UDP, and cached or locally answered DNS are no longer counted.
- DNS sent through NaiveProxy is now counted.
Upgrading
- Installs over 2.5.5 and keeps your profiles and settings.
- Configs exported from 2.5.6 use a newer format. Soar profiles need 2.5.6 or later to import.
