Firmware 0.7.3-rc1

Install this firmware before the 0.7.3 phone apps. Older apps remain compatible.

This is a release candidate for Xteink X3 and X4. It uses the prepared 0.7.3 firmware image from public source commit 28c2ca9. The device reports firmware 0.7.3; the GitHub release and manifest identify this testing package as rc1.

Changes include resumable book uploads, verified reader identity, compact book packages, more working memory during phone-started sync, and hotspot fallback when a phone cannot name its Wi-Fi network. The device keeps the current screen and shows sync status in the bottom bar. Use BACK to cancel.

For an SD update, download flowe-firmware.zip from this release and follow its instructions. update.bin is the same app image. flowe-full.bin is for a clean installation and clears pairing/settings; use the update path to keep them. Check downloads against SHA256SUMS.txt.

This prerelease does not replace the stable download on the public flash page. Use the assets attached here for this candidate.

The firmware and Android 0.7.3 passed the recorded X4/Moto compatibility, Home Wi-Fi transfer, and hotspot-fallback tests. The final iPhone Cancel fix and full lock-screen transfer still need native confirmation. Please report the phone build, reader version, and failing action with diagnostics.

Published-file check

The release downloads were checked against SHA-256 hashes. The downloaded update.bin was then flashed to the bench X4. It booted as 0.7.3, kept its pairing and SD card, and completed a direct sync with Android 0.7.3 (build 13). Covers and reading positions moved. The reader accepted End and returned to Bluetooth. This was a connection and metadata check; the earlier release tests cover full book transfers.
