Reading in more languages, and an honest answer when a book needs the app.
On the device
Russian, Ukrainian, Greek and more in the interface. The device's own
menus, book titles and notifications now draw Cyrillic and Greek
correctly instead of question marks. (Reading inside a book in those
languages already worked.)
A clear notice instead of a page of boxes. Copy a Hebrew, Arabic or
Chinese book straight onto the card and the device used to open it as
rows of empty rectangles. Now it says so plainly and points you at the
app, which converts the book so it reads properly. Press READ to look
anyway, or BACK to return to your shelf.
Install
- Browser (easiest): open https://www.flowe.ink/flash in Chrome or
Edge, plug in USB-C, and press Update Flowe. Keeps your pairing and
your books. - microSD card: download flowe-firmware.zip, copy update.bin to the
root of the card, reinsert it, then hold the left side button and
power until the update screen appears.
One file works on both the Xteink X3 and X4 — the firmware detects your
device.
Apps
flowe-0.6.3.apk (Android) is attached; on iPhone, use TestFlight. Both
apps are unchanged from 0.6.2 apart from the version number — the
Bluetooth reconnection fixes, the Wi-Fi manager, °F/°C units and the
Screen Time break fix all shipped there.
