Mobile Data Usage Beta
This beta adds a dedicated Mobile data usage sensor for supported 4G and 5G Deco firmware.
Changes
- Reads the monthly mobile data counter from
mobile_cpe.data_usage. - Reports the value in KiB using the Home Assistant data-size device class.
- Supports monthly counter resets through the
TOTAL_INCREASINGstate class. - Polls mobile usage independently every five minutes.
- Creates the sensor only when the required value is available.
- Does not expose SIM details, mobile network identifiers or other sensitive modem information.
- Does not query the mobile endpoint on ordinary non-mobile Deco models.
Testing requested
Please verify that:
- the sensor appears on the master Deco;
- its value approximately matches the Deco app;
- it continues updating;
- existing Deco entities and polling remain operational;
- no new errors appear in the Home Assistant log.
This prerelease is isolated from the separate WiFi status sensor beta and is intended specifically for testing issue #612.
