v3.12.1-beta.2 - HTTP 500 Client Polling Backoff

latest releases: v3.13.0-beta.1, v3.12.1
pre-release4 hours ago

Changes since beta.1

  • Adds capped exponential backoff for persistent HTTP 500 responses from the Deco client-list endpoint.
  • Preserves authenticated sessions and last known client states during router failures.
  • Skips client-list requests while backoff is active.
  • Keeps partial client results when only one Deco node fails.
  • Resets backoff automatically after successful recovery.
  • Exposes the remaining backoff time in Home Assistant diagnostics.
  • Prevents LuCI session tokens from appearing in error or debug logs.
  • Records failures only for actual failed requests, not skipped polling cycles.
  • Adds API- and coordinator-level regression tests.

Testing

  • All 30 automated tests pass.
  • Pre-commit, HACS and Hassfest pass.
  • Live testing on the affected Deco mesh is requested.

Includes all client restoration and session recovery fixes from v3.12.1-beta.1.

Fixes #617.

Thanks to @gdwallage for the reproduction logs, initial implementation and testing.
