Asynchronous wallpaper apply – setting a wallpaper now happens in the background without freezing the app.
Fixed screen saver on macOS 26 – and partially improved behavior on older macOS versions.
Fully reworked preview pipeline – previews are generated on the backend and loaded in a more reliable way.
Improved uploads & publishing – wallpaper publishing is fixed and more stable.
Everyone gets more time – all users with an expired trial get an extra 7 days to try Wallper again.

Launch at login support – Wallper can now automatically start when you log in to macOS.
Ask for autostart on first launch – on first run, the app now clearly asks whether you want it to start with the system.
Hide main window after autostart – when Wallper launches with the system, the main window stays hidden during the first ~60 seconds to avoid getting in your way.
Default screen saver setup – the Wallper screen saver is configured by default for a smoother first-time experience.
Power-aware wallpapers – wallpapers are now disabled by default when external power is disconnected (to save battery).
Automatic settings opening for wallpaper setup – the app can open the necessary system settings automatically when you’re applying wallpapers.

Optimized wallpaper installation – the process of applying wallpapers is faster and more reliable.
No more main-thread blocking – applying wallpapers no longer blocks the main app thread.
Asynchronous wallpaper application – wallpapers are set in the background so the UI stays responsive.
Screen saver fixes
- Fully fixed for macOS 26.
- Partially improved for macOS < 26.
Reworked preview loading – preview loading logic has been changed to be more robust.
Previews generated on the backend – preview images are now created server-side and then fetched by the app.
New Download button – a dedicated Download button was added instead of relying only on “Set as Wallpaper”.

Fixed wallpaper publishing flow – upload & publish pipeline has been repaired so your videos can be submitted and processed correctly.
Backend-driven previews for uploads – when you publish, a preview is generated and stored on the backend, making it reusable across the app.

Explore tab redesign – the Explore section got a visual refresh for clearer navigation and a more modern look.
New animations in Explore – subtle animations were added to make browsing wallpapers feel smoother and more alive.
Reworked card logic – the logic behind wallpaper cards has been rewritten for more predictable behavior and better state handling.
Fixed toggles in Settings – settings switches now behave correctly and consistently.

Heavy settings sync bug fixed – synchronization of settings has been stabilized and made more reliable.
Improved network & internet usage – network usage has been cleaned up and made more efficient.
Faster overall app performance – UI and background operations should feel snappier across the app.
Auto-update made invisible – automatic updates now happen more quietly, with minimal disruption while keeping you on the latest version.
