Third beta of the full controller. What the first two betas brought is all still here (see v2026.11.0-beta2 and v2026.11.0-beta1). This one adds a master switch, sorts the settings by topic, and fixes what came up. If your garden depends on Smart Irrigation and you do not want surprises, stay on v2026.10.10.
New
- One switch to stop it all. The first card of Settings, Calculate and water, and the same switch on the hub device as
switch.smart_irrigation_irrigation_enabled. Off, Smart Irrigation keeps taking its weather readings and keeps its sensors, but calculates nothing, leaves every bucket as it is, opens no valve and runs no program. What is watering when you switch it off stops at once, and a start trigger that is reached firessmart_irrigation_irrigation_skippedwith the reasonirrigation_off. Switched on again, the time it was off is not counted, so the first run of the spring is not a whole winter of evaporation at once. It is on by default, so nothing changes until you use it (#960, thanks @jubudu for the idea). Docs - The settings, by topic. The Data tab becomes Weather, with three pages: the weather service with the location and how often it is read, the sensor groups, and a new Skip on weather page with the rain forecast, the rain sensor, frost and wind. Settings > General is split into Calculation, Control and System. The frost and wind checks now say which sensor they read and whether a sensor group reads the same one for the evaporation, with one tap to use the group's sensor. No page address changes, so your bookmarks still work. The German panel now says "du" throughout (#972, #974). Docs
Both pages by @johnnyh1975, thank you!
Fixes
- The planning showed a run for a zone short of its step's minimum deficit. The run itself skipped it, but the planning, the program overview and the schedules did not, so a zone 0.4 mm dry under a step asking for 7 mm showed a 2 minute run that never happened (#971, thanks @Megalos).
- The zone, Info, the card and the planning now agree on the next watering. Under full control, a zone with no valve is a setup that is not finished: each place now says it is not watered and links to the zone's valve field. A start trigger that starts nothing is no longer shown as a next start (#969, #973, thanks @johnnyh1975).
set_bucket,set_multiplierandset_zonearm the start. A run they made owed had no start armed until the next midnight (#970, thanks @johnnyh1975).- Translations: the new texts in all 20 languages, and the Weblate updates.
Trying it
In HACS, turn on "Show beta versions" for Smart Irrigation, update, restart Home Assistant, and reload the browser so the panel is the new one. 3323 Python tests and 143 panel tests pass.
