github altmenorg/HAsmartirrigation v2026.10.7

A bugfix release. If one of your zones uses a fixed amount of evaporation, read the first point.

Fixed

  • A fixed amount added water instead of removing it. Since v2026.10.1 the zone card asks for the evaporation as "so many mm a day, whatever the weather", but it stored the number as the change to the bucket, where drying is negative. A zone set to 4 mm a day gained 4 mm of water every day and was never watered, with nothing on screen to say so. The card now asks for the Evaporation per day as a positive number and stores what it means. A positive value already stored is turned around when Smart Irrigation starts, with a line in the log: a fixed amount that adds water every day is never what was meant. Nothing changes for a zone that already held a negative value. Thanks @johnnyh1975 for spotting it.
  • The setup assistant lost the fixed amount typed. It reused the factory engine as it was, with no amount at all. The zone now gets an engine of its own with the amount typed, as a zone added on the zones page does. Thanks @johnnyh1975 (#918).
  • A sensor that stops reporting no longer lends its last reading to every later calculation. With continuous updates on, a thermometer that went silent kept feeding its last temperature into the calculation, day after day. A reading older than six hours is now left out, the same limit a new reading has to meet to be recorded.

Nothing else changes: update, restart, and if you use a fixed amount, check its zone card once.
