On SessionStart inside a VS Code-family editor (VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, VSCodium) with its CLI available, Token Optimizer now installs the companion status-bar extension automatically if it's missing — surfacing context health, efficiency, and usage limits right in the editor's status bar, no integrated terminal required. Silent, default-on, with a sticky opt-out and a 24h throttle.
