Changes
Removed
- Removed
skill-enforcerand its keyword-routing evaluator. Skill selection
now relies on the host's native catalog. - Removed Pi's
todo//todos, fixed-schemastructured_outputexample,
and bundled ccgram, desktop-notification, and Revdiff plan-review defaults.
The generic hook runner and user-configured hooks remain available.
Changed
- Pi skips unused hook payload construction and collects bounded output chunks
without repeatedly copying the accumulated output. - Smart-lint parses each event once and prefers project Python tooling over
system tools, including adopted Black over an unrelated global Ruff. - Focused Python and Bun test discovery reuses candidate lists instead of
repeatedly scanning test roots. - Specialized skills retain defect evidence, review rubrics, and test-design
guidance; the optional coding-posture plugin owns general coding procedure.
Brainstorming explicitly requires approval before implementation or file edits. - Added a repository command that reports isolated hook startup timings as JSON.
Fixed
- Invalid file-protector configuration shapes fall back to default patterns
instead of crashing before sensitive-path checks. - Successful test commands no longer wait for their watchdog's timeout.
Timed-out commands retain forced cleanup of surviving descendants. - Smart-lint preserves real
a/andb/directories when reading file paths
and patch headers.
Upgrade
- Before upgrading, remove explicit references to retired hook/tool paths;
those files and tool registrations will no longer exist. - Record outstanding cc-thingz todos before upgrading. Use pi-tasks afterward
if you need task tracking; saved session entries are not migrated or deleted. - Configure personal messaging, notification, and plan-review integrations at
user scope before upgrading if you depend on them. Pi no longer invokes
bundled integrations automatically. Replace the fixed-schema output example
with your caller's output contract. - Restart the agent after updating. Plan-exec needs native pi-subagents, not
Bridge; preserve Bridge while another consumer or unresolved operation needs it.
