- Tests reuse isolated Git fixtures and run parser matrices in-process.
Work stealing balances Python tests. Build-idempotence checks no longer
rewrite files while other tests read them. - CI reuses setup across related checks and runs Python, Bun, and Bats suites
concurrently. External Actions use current stable releases pinned by commit.

CI pins Bats 1.14.0. Nested Bats fixtures no longer appear as extra tests
under older preprocessors. -
CI now executes all 160 existing Bats cases instead of only linting them.

Shell formatter tests no longer depend on host-installed tools. Permission
tests cover empty input, and plan tests assert exact extracted items.
Upgrade
Contributors need Bats 1.14.0 installed before running make ci locally.
