Changes
This release includes the previously unpublished 6.19.0 cleanup changes.
Git cleanup runs verified safe removals without repeated prompts. For an
exception, the agent explains the loss and executes after scoped consent.
Added
- Command-local cleanup consent pinned to the target's full commit OID. It
permits a specifically approved branch/worktree deletion, not reset, clean,
force-push, protected branches, or lock overrides. - Offline squash-patch detection in both cleanup scripts, alongside Git ancestry
and GitHub PR verification. PR evidence checks the base, merged head, and
reachable merge commit, including conflict-resolved squash merges. - Target selection with
cleanup-git.sh --branch <name>.
Fixed
- Local release finalization checks notes, versions, generated drift, and tag
availability without rerunning the full test suite. Full CI and runtime smoke
tests remain required before the publishing workflow creates the release. - Cleanup prefers fetched remote integration refs over stale local branches.
- Ordinary worktree removal followed by deletion of its merged branch passes
the guardrail without requiring a force-remove workaround. - Automatic cleanup preserves ignored and untracked files as well as tracked
changes. Locked or uncertain objects stay without stopping safe removals. - Guardrails recognize split branch force-delete flags, lease/mirror force
pushes, and shell commands with options before-c.
Upgrade
Before running existing cleanup automation after upgrading, add
--branch <name> to any cleanup-git.sh --force invocation; unscoped force
sweeps are now refused. Explicit safe-cleanup requests no longer need a second
approval. Consent markers are agent attestations, not authenticated user grants
or file snapshots; agents must recheck at-risk files before executing.
See cleanup policy.
