Changes
Pi questions now use native dialogs, and idle notifications wait until work
has settled. The Pi integration is tested against 1.0.2.
Fixed
- The Bash permission heuristic recognizes
rm -fr, split recursive flags,
-R, and--recursivewithout confusing flag-prefix lookalikes. It is
still a warning heuristic, not a sandbox. - Single-choice questions work in RPC through native
select. Free text and
multiple selections use native input; labels, machine values, custom answers,
deduplication, and cancellation are preserved. - Idle notifications use
agent_settled; Stop hooks remain onagent_end.
Compaction hooks receive the actualmanual, threshold, oroverflowreason. - Async SessionEnd hooks no longer block shutdown. A detached Node supervisor
bounds their lifetime and cleans up descendants.
Changed
ask_user_questionis model-only, stays direct in Code Mode-only sessions,
and returns answer JSON in model-facing text as well asdetails.- Pi guidance distinguishes callable tools, durable workflows, and output
protection. Documentation and review references load only for the relevant branch.
Upgrade
Before upgrading, use Pi 1.0.2 or newer within 1.x; earlier hosts are unsupported.
Keep node on PATH for async SessionEnd hooks, or those hooks log an error and
skip. Call ask_user_question directly rather than from Code Mode. Consumers of
its display text must now parse answer JSON. Reload or restart Pi after updating.
