Description

EasyJob 2.0 is a full rewrite on Avalonia and .NET 10. It now runs natively on Windows, macOS and Linux, on both x64 and arm64. Your existing 1.x config.json still loads.

Highlights

• Cross-platform. One app for PowerShell, Python, shell and batch scripts. On macOS the menus are in the system menu bar and shortcuts use Cmd.
• Separate output per run. Every run has its own panel with its own output, so scripts running at the same time never mix. It stays smooth with tens of thousands of lines.
• Real colours. Output shows PowerShell's own colours and ANSI colours from any tool. The old EasyJob colour tags are gone.
• Script editor.
  • Syntax colouring for PowerShell, Python, shell, batch, JSON, YAML, XML and Markdown.
  • Run (F5) without saving.
  • A side panel that follows the file: the PowerShell command browser for PowerShell, a live formatted view for JSON, and a rendered preview for Markdown.
  • A built-in terminal under the editor, a real terminal with colours, interactive programs and Ctrl+C. It opens automatically, which you can switch off in Configuration.
• Arguments. Scripts can ask for arguments before they run.
• Dialogs for scripts. The new EasyJobPSTools module gives PowerShell scripts input boxes, message boxes, lists, file pickers and notifications on all three platforms.
• Self-update. EasyJob checks GitHub on start and offers Update to x.y.z. It keeps your config.json, and you can turn the check off in Configuration.
• Administration. A machine-wide policy.json can lock EasyJob down, with read-only config, no editor, no terminal, no updates, allowed script types and folders, a limit on concurrent
  runs, and confirm-before-run. See the README and policy.example.json.
• Handy extras. A Troubleshooting report, a filter for scripts, compact button size for large tabs, and an editable colour picker for the console.

Downloads

Pick your platform: win-x64, win-arm64, linux-x64, linux-arm64, osx-x64 (Intel Mac) or osx-arm64 (Apple Silicon).

Unzip and run EasyJob (EasyJob.exe on Windows). On macOS the zip contains EasyJob.app.

Notes

• macOS first launch. These builds are not notarized. Move EasyJob.app to /Applications, then run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/EasyJob.app (or right-click → Open).
  Unzip with Finder, not the plain unzip command.
• PowerShell scripts need PowerShell 7 (pwsh) on macOS and Linux. Windows PowerShell also works on
  Windows. Python scripts need Python 3.
• Upgrading from 1.x. Your config.json loads as is. Argument prompts were renamed from "questions" to "arguments" in the UI only; the config keys are unchanged.
• The in-app updater picks the zip for your OS and CPU, and the portable zip if you run the portable build.
