Ioskeley Mono v2.1.0
Bug fixes, webfonts a tenth of the size, and a cleaner build.
Fixed
- Ligature rendering in kitty and other terminals. Term-related terminals resolve ligatures by glyph name, and the build wasn't exporting glyph names, so kitty drew ligatures as separate pieces. The outlines were fine, the names just weren't in the font. Now they are.
- Monospace detection. The Nerd builds in v2.0.0 lost their
isFixedPitchflag to the patcher, so macOS Font Book and fontconfig refused to treat them as monospace. The build now restores the flag and patches every Nerd font as genuinely single-width, so they install asIoskeley Mono Nerd Font Mono.
Improved
- Web fonts are about a tenth of the size.
IoskeleyMono-Web.zipis now a real subset, roughly 94 KB per face and 3.9 MB total, instead of 500 KB per face and 47 MB. Sites needing the full character set get a newIoskeleyMono-Web-Full.zipwith Greek, Cyrillic and the long arrows kept in. - Dropped the unhinted WOFF2 files. Hinting does nothing in browsers.
Housekeeping
- Pinned the Iosevka build to v34.4.0 so every release compiles against the same source.
- Removed the Condensed width.
- Documented the slashed-zero (
zero) feature in the README with per-editor settings (Ghostty, kitty, VS Code, CSS).

Using a terminal? Take one of the Term builds. They redraw arrows
and box-drawing to sit inside the cell, and they are the ones detected
as monospace by fontconfig and Font Book.

IoskeleyMono-Web.zip is trimmed to Latin, punctuation, arrows,
math operators and box drawing (≈94 KB per face) — the right choice
for page loads. IoskeleyMono-Web-Full.zip carries the complete
character set (Greek, Cyrillic, long arrows, rare math) at the cost
of size, for sites that need those glyphs.
Each desktop zip has Hinted/ and Unhinted/ per width — Hinted for
standard displays, Unhinted for Retina and HiDPI.
Nerd Font builds are now patched single-width, so they install as
Ioskeley Mono Nerd Font Mono.
