Summary
Stable release of this fork, built on the same CrossInk v1.6.1.
Installing
This is a stable release: on a device already running this fork (v1.5.1+bookorbit.1 or newer), Settings → System → Check for Updates installs it over the air.
A device running CrossInk has to be flashed once by USB or from the SD card — see the installation guide, which also covers USB-locked devices and reverting to upstream. Pick the file for your device:

What's Changed since v1.6.1+bookorbit.6
BookOrbit Home theme
- Fixed: Home no longer stalls at each start when the SD card is formatted as FAT32 (#110). The screen stayed on "Loading" for a few seconds on a typical card, and for several minutes on a slow one. Home counted the card's used space for the Library page's storage bar, which on FAT32 means reading the whole file allocation table. The storage bar now only appears on exFAT cards, where the same count takes a fraction of a second.
- Changed: on the X3 and X4, a book picked on a Home shelf now downloads after one restart and one Wi-Fi connection instead of two. The reader used to connect, announce the download, then restart and connect again before the download started.
Downloads
- Fixed: book downloads from the BookOrbit catalog no longer wait for that SD used space count before they start on a FAT32 card (#110). A card that runs out of space is still reported as full once the download fails.
