53 merged changes from 12 contributors make AetherSDR easier to operate, easier
to diagnose, and more faithful to each radio's real capabilities. This cycle
leads with features and UX shared across the application, follows with focused
FlexRadio repairs, and closes with the model-gated Icom work.
New features and operator workflow
A more useful operating surface
- Green Heron Everyware antenna control (#5209). A native GHE applet controls
compatible antenna switches and rotators. - Optional globe projection for PSK Reporter (#5273). Switch from the flat
map to a global view of received reports. - System Info Threads and Logs tabs (#5246) expose runtime detail inside the
app, while RTTY decoder sensitivity (#5132) is now adjustable from the
decoder bar. - Panadapter button-rail collapse state persists (#5221), the active band is
highlighted in the spectrum overlay (#5236), and connect-time enumeration no
longer overwrites the radio's active slice (#4985). - Explicit PortAudio sidetone selections no longer get captured by a shorter
device-name match (#5135). CW Zero Beat mirrors correctly for CWL (#5224), and
iambic keyer edges no longer echo back into the sidetone gate (#5128). - Radio sharing is single-sourced (#5264), unsupported Flex-only controls dim
off-Flex (#5266), missing command planes fail visibly (#5265), and Demo mode
reaches its backend through the capability extension namespace (#5268).
Automation and project quality
- Automation adds FM repeater controls (#5104), text-view inspection (#5136),
momentary key events (#5137), and combo-box popup actions (#5144). - Flex-only verbs now refuse unsupported backends instead of falsely reporting
success (#5267). - Synthetic transport tests are separated by verification layer (#5232), every
registered test gets a default 300-second timeout (#5272), and test boundaries
are documented (#5255). - Capability documentation is back in sync (#5269), and the project gains a
repeatable issue-fit, governance and code-quality PR review workflow (#5245).
FlexRadio and TCI fixes
- Band shortcuts once again restore Flex band-stack state (#4967).
- Flex PA temperature returns to the status bar on capable radios (#5295).
- TNF removal status removes the notch instead of recreating it (#5314).
- TCI
cw_macrosmessages no longer append the receiver index to macro text
(#5153).
Networked Icom
Evidence-gated controls and radio-authoritative state
- Read-only IC-9700 radio memory integration (#5283), synchronized dial lock
(#5261), capability-gated IC-705/IC-9700 DTCS (#5294), IC-9700 CTCSS TX/RX
(#5203), and model-gated extended repeater readback (#5161) follow each
model's attested surface. - Supply voltage (#5170), PA drain current (#5238), continuous compression
(#5240), LAN MOD Phone level (#5211), RF power scaling (#5208), RF Gain/preamp
presentation (#5189), and declared bands (#5186) now reach the UI correctly. - Unsupported PA temperature (#5172), Main Fan (#5174), DEXP (#5181), and TX
cutoff controls (#5184) stay hidden; voltage waits for real telemetry (#5176),
and Phone/CW level clears before its first sample (#5179). - TUNE owns its carrier (#5218), SWR and ALC survive isolated minimum replies
(#5216), RX Controls stay subscribed across reconnect (#5220), and WSJT-X TCI
unkey handling gains incident telemetry (#5274). - Custom UDP port triplets support multi-radio NAT (#5230), SpotHub spots flow
through the client model (#5228), and RS-BA1 handshake failures identify the
target and likely cause (#5303).
