flex-tailnet-shim 0.5.2 (published ports)

The in-radio Tailscale relay that AetherSDR installs from Waveforms → Install… → Remote Access (Tailscale) (RFC #6271; PR #7017). Setup guide: Tailscale Remote Access.

These are packages for the radio, not an AetherSDR release. AetherSDR downloads the one your radio takes, and refuses any other bytes.

Radio File SHA-256 Size
FLEX-6000 series (legacy waveform) AetherTailnet-0.5.2-native.ssdr_waveform 099f01a81d22d3cb3b479a6d012da9d78698dabe7729a244ad7b46359a4e2f54 9,190,664 bytes
FLEX-8000 series and Aurora (container) flex-tailnet-shim-0.5.2.tar.gz a12646ec3fa9665add9a30b33e4ae4846d1f98b5c5d6d786627f09342d699c75 8,082,988 bytes

Changes since 0.5.1:

  • Published ports. An app running on the radio can make one of its TCP ports reachable on the tailnet with POST /v1/local/expose, on a 10-minute lease it renews. AetherSDR's WSPR receiver uses this so a remote operator can read it.
  • Only a port bound where the LAN could reach it can be published, each connection is checked against the socket that registered, and each port takes at most 32 connections. Tailnet callers reach the app as a LAN caller does, never as loopback.

Both packages rebuild byte for byte from this tag with Go 1.27.1, CPython 3.14 and zlib 1.3.2. See tools/flex-tailnet-shim/README.md.
