v26.10.5 — Hotfix: APRS Messages Through Your Rig Bridge

Hotfix: APRS messages sent from OpenHamClock now reach the Rig Bridge you set up. Before, they only went out if Rig Bridge was on the same computer as the OpenHamClock server at port 5555, and a message that never left was still shown as sent.

📨 FIX: APRS messages go out through your Rig Bridge (#1243)

The MSG box in the EmComm layout handed each message to the OpenHamClock server, which always looked for Rig Bridge on its own computer at port 5555. A Rig Bridge on another port or another computer (a Pi next to the radio, say) never got the message, while incoming APRS kept working because your browser reads Rig Bridge directly.

  • Messages now go straight to the Rig Bridge set in Settings → Rig Bridge (through the server only over Cloud Relay or with rig control off).
  • A message that does not go out stays in the box with the reason (e.g. TNC not connected) instead of being logged as sent.
  • Every MSG button opens the message box in view at the bottom of the sidebar with the cursor in it (#1242).

Reported by Michael, KE8PLM.

🏠 FIX: Altitude no longer shows in shelter reports (#1235)

A shelter beacon from the aprs.fi app that included altitude showed as /A=000921OPEN. Altitude and course/speed are position data and now come out of the comment once read. Reported by Michael, KE8PLM.

No Rig Bridge update is needed for this release.
