What's New
A new look. Every screen of the web and mobile apps has been redesigned. The new app icon also works with Android's themed icons.
Share to Anchor. Pick Anchor Notes in your phone's share menu to save text, links or pictures as a new note. You can edit the title and text and add tags before saving, without leaving the app you were in.
Highlights. Select text and pick one of five highlight colors from the toolbar.
The / menu. Type / in a note to turn the line into a checklist, heading, list, quote or code block, or to add a link or an attachment.
Checklist tools. Uncheck all and Delete checked items are now in the note menu. With "Move checked items to the bottom" on, checked items fold away under a row you can open.
Archived notes in search. Search results and tag pages now include archived notes, in their own Archived section. Tag counts include them too.
Note outline. On the web, long notes with headings show a list of their headings at the right edge. Click one to jump to that part of the note.
Fixes
- Going back to your search on the web after opening a note keeps what you searched for.
- Large attachments no longer fail to upload on slow connections, and a slow upload no longer stores the same file on the server more than once.
- Voice recordings take half the space, so about an hour fits in the 50 MB attachment limit. The recorder stops by itself at the limit and keeps the recording.
- Repeating reminders no longer ring before their start date, and monthly ones set for the 29th to 31st now ring on the last day of shorter months.
- Greek and Cyrillic letters no longer show in the wrong shapes on some Android phones.
- Copying and saving logs in the mobile app now works on phones where it failed.
- The Android widget's note list no longer draws past its rounded corners.
- The Docker image now stops Postgres cleanly, so restarting the container no longer looks like a crash to the database.
- The Docker image now runs on Node 26 with the latest security fixes.
