Changes
- Achievements in the game (#288).
- Notification: when you earn one, a notification pops up at the bottom of the screen as on the Xbox 360, with the achievement's icon, name and points. Several queue up.
- Switch: Achievements › Achievement notifications (on by default).
- Page: L3 + R3 (click both sticks; F1 on a keyboard, a three-finger tap on touch) opens a page of all 50 achievements, in the style of the game's menus. A race pauses while it is open.
- Progress: the game's own counters, for example Bomb-Happy 12 / 30, Rich King Rings and Gear Collector gears. Achievements without a counter (a single time or score) show none. The launcher's Achievements tab shows the same progress.
- Notification: when you earn one, a notification pops up at the bottom of the screen as on the Xbox 360, with the achievement's icon, name and points. Several queue up.
- Button prompts (#284).
- In the game: under the game's pose pictures (the cyan figure, for example in the Tutorial), the button for that move now appears: HOLD A to fly, X to kick, and so on. It follows your own bindings, with PlayStation symbols on a PlayStation pad, keys on a keyboard and the touch buttons on a phone. With a Kinect or camera it doesn't show.
- Switch: Controls › Button prompts (on by default).
- Launcher: the Controls page has a new section, What each button does, listing every race and menu move with your bindings, for Player 1 and Player 2.
- In the game: under the game's pose pictures (the cyan figure, for example in the Tutorial), the button for that move now appears: HOLD A to fly, X to kick, and so on. - Fix: the Linux game builds again.
Everything else is the same as v0.10.34.
Validation
- Windows x64 package, Vulkan, with the validation layer: a whole race with no validation errors. An achievement notification and the page work with 0 errors. The title's attract movie plays correctly.
- Earlier Windows runs: a real unlock in the Tutorial (Welcome License) showed the notification. The prompts were seen in the Tutorial's first lessons.
- AYN Thor, this release's APK:
- Dolphin Resort at full speed (1.000, 60 fps).
- Touch controls and Tilt to kick on: full speed.
- Threads on one little core: race 0.995, big jump cleared.
- An earlier test build showed the page and notifications on the phone.
- macOS (M1) package: a whole Dolphin Resort race at full speed.
- Unit tests: 175 passed on Linux, 183 on Windows. GitHub Actions builds and tests passed on Windows, Linux, macOS and Android.
- Not tested:
- Prompts for the fly (T-pose), jump, kick and brake poses in a real game. They are matched from the pictures.
- Two-player prompts and real PlayStation pads (the PlayStation symbols were tested by forcing them).
- Tapping the notification on a phone.
