Changes
From suggestions in #236:
- The touch buttons show their names.
- Face buttons: A, B, X and Y in their Xbox colours.
- Other buttons: LB, RB, LT, RT and START, plus LS and RS on the two sticks.
- It's now clear which on-screen button a guide or a menu means.
- An FPS counter. Launcher › Graphics › Advanced performance options › Show FPS shows the frame rate (e.g. "60 FPS") in the game's upper-left corner. It works on every platform, including phones, where there is no window title to show it in. Off by default.
- Touch controls on iOS. The on-screen controls and tilt steering are now on by default on iOS, as on Android, and the launcher's touch settings appear there too.
- One app icon everywhere. The Android app now uses the same icon as the iOS, macOS and Windows versions.
Everything else is the same as v0.10.17.
Validation
- AYN Thor (Android):
- the labels are drawn on the title screen, in menus and in a race;
- tapping every button with real screen taps gave the right input;
- Show FPS displayed "60 FPS" in a race;
- the new icon appears in the app's info page.
- Windows: the game window with Show FPS on shows "60 FPS".
- iOS: builds. Not tested on a device or simulator: the iOS Simulator on our Mac can't run the game, so the touch controls and tilt on iOS haven't been seen running.
- Windows x64 package, Vulkan, with the validation layer: a whole race, no validation errors, all 455 pipelines.
- macOS (M1), this release's package: a whole Dolphin Resort race at full speed, all 455 pipelines.
- AYN Thor, this release's APK: Dolphin Resort at full speed (0.999, 60 fps), all 455 pipelines prepared.
- Unit tests: 161 passed on Linux, including the new label and counter tests. GitHub Actions builds and tests passed on Windows, Linux, macOS and Android.
