Wilds of Kanto v1.0.0
The first stable release of Wilds of Kanto is here!
This update focuses on stability, compatibility, and making the overworld feel much more alive while improving support for the latest versions of Gen1Recomp and Dramatic Shape.
🎮 Rendering Improvements
- Reworked the rendering pipeline to use the engine's native sprite rendering path
- Greatly improved compatibility with Dramatic Shape Voxel Mod
- Improved object and wall occlusion
- Improved first-person compatibility
- Better sprite positioning and depth handling
- Removed several legacy rendering paths and fallback systems
⚙️ Mod Improvements
- Simplified the settings menu
- Removed obsolete and unused options
- Renamed all option labels to fit within the Gen1Recomp UI limits
- Improved default configuration for new users

- Native runtime sprite-sheet loading
- Species are matched using Pokédex / Species ID
