v1.9.2
Fixed
- A search by TVDB ID now sends every result out under Sonarr's name
for the series, as the RSS feed already did for the episodes it
numbers from TheTVDB. Results went out under the BBC programme's
name, which for some series is a name Sonarr does not know or knows
as another series: Doctor Who (2005) came out as
Doctor.Who.2005-2022.*, Porridge's "Porridge Rebooted" (TheTVDB's
S00E08) asPorridge.2017.S00E08, and Doctor Who (2023) as
Doctor.Who.*, which is the classic Doctor Who's name. Sonarr took
them in a search on the TVDB ID alone, but it goes by the name once
the download has finished: under a name it has no series for, it did
not import one unless it had been grabbed from an interactive search,
and it rejectedPorridge.2017.S00E08outright as the revival,
Porridge (2016). They now come out asDoctor.Who.2005.*,
Porridge.S00E08.*andDoctor.Who.2023.*, classic Doctor Who as
Doctor.Who.*, and the same goes for The Apprentice (UK), Ghosts
(2019), Gladiators (2024) and Blankety Blank (2021). The
downloaded file and folder take the same name. A Show Override is
still found under the BBC programme's name and its numbering still
applies, but its custom name gives way to Sonarr's. A search for a
series named with another country's tag, such as Ghosts (US), no
longer returns the BBC's own series of the name, whose episodes went
out at the US series' numbers, unless TheTVDB numbers them for it.
(GitHub #60) - An episode search no longer offers another episode under the number
searched for, which Sonarr would grab as that episode. Where part of
a programme's number is iplayer-arr's assumption (Series 1 for an
episode number with no series, an episode number from air-date order,
or a story's part number read as the season's episode number) and
TheTVDB has a differently titled episode at that number aired more
than a week away, the programme is now left out. QI's "Series F: 1.
Family" came out as S01E01, Torchwood's "Children of Earth: 1. Day
One" as S01E01, Casualty's "Lethal Legacy: Episode 1" as the first
episode of 1986, and classic Doctor Who's "Season 4: The Tenth Planet:
Episode 1" as S04E01. A programme whose title TheTVDB has once in the
series, and that is not a generic title such as "Episode 1", now
takes that episode's number whatever its air date, when TheTVDB does
not bear out its own number: Red Dwarf's "X: 1. Trojan", which
iPlayer dates only "2012", is S10E01, and QI's "Series P: 2. Peril" is
S16E02. A story's part now matches TheTVDB's title for it, so "The
Tenth Planet: Episode 1" is S04E05, and an animated or reconstructed
version gives way to the original, as a signed version does. And a
show TheTVDB bears out nowhere, whose programmes aired more than a
year before the series began or more than ten years after it ended,
is taken to be another show of the same name: a search for Gladiators
(1992) S01E01 returned the 2024 series' first episode and now returns
nothing. A series bought in years after TheTVDB's dates keeps the
numbers it is assumed to have when TheTVDB bears out others of the
same label at theirs: Naruto's "Part I: 13. Crystal Ice Mirrors" is
TheTVDB's "Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals". Titles now match across a
macron ("Chūnin", "Chunin"). Episodes numbered only from their place
in iPlayer's list keep their numbers, as in 1.9.0. The RSS feed
applies the same rules. - A search for an episode that iPlayer lists as a one-off of its own,
titled with the show's name, a colon and the episode's title, now
finds it. "Doctor Who: Dreamland" is TheTVDB's Doctor Who (2005)
S00E15, "Doctor Who: The Infinite Quest" S00E05 and "Gavin & Stacey:
A Fond Farewell" S00E18, but a search for the show dropped every
"Show: Something" title when iPlayer also had the show itself, to keep
companion programmes such as "Doctor Who: Unleashed" out (1.8.3). A
one-off that is a programme of its own on iPlayer now takes the number
of the TheTVDB episode with its title, or its whole title, aired within
a month of it, and goes out under the show's name. One TheTVDB does
not list still stays out, as do companions. The RSS feed is unchanged. - When Skyhook cannot be reached, or returns an empty episode list, a
search by TVDB ID no longer offers episodes under a number iplayer-arr
guessed from their place in iPlayer's list. Doctor Who (2005) S00E15
returned "A Christmas Carol" as S00E15, and S01E04 returned "The
Runaway Bride" beside "Aliens of London". Episodes with the BBC's own
series and episode numbers are still offered, and the guessed ones
come back, numbered from TheTVDB, once Skyhook answers; a failure is
retried after 5 minutes. The RSS feed does the same for a show whose
list is unavailable. - A search by TVDB ID for a show iplayer-arr has not seen before now
returns nothing when Skyhook cannot name it. It searched iPlayer for
"BBC" instead and gave every result that TVDB ID, so Sonarr could
take "BBC Comedy Short Films" S01E01 as the show's S01E01. The Skyhook
lookup now gives up after 15 seconds or when Sonarr does, and a
failed lookup is retried after 5 minutes rather than on every search. - A text search for a show and a year, such as
Doctor Who 2005, which
Sonarr sends when a TVDB ID search found nothing, now finds the show
iplayer-arr has stored as "Doctor Who (2005)", and its results go out
under that show's name and TVDB ID. A name that more than one stored
show shares, such asDoctor Whoonce both Doctor Who (2005) and
Doctor Who (2023) have been searched for, gets no results; it was
answered as whichever of them iplayer-arr read first. - An episode search now finds an episode by the number a Show Override
gives it. With a Series Offset of 1, the BBC's Series 2 Episode 3 goes
out as S03E03, but a search for S03E03 found nothing and a search for
S02E03 returned it, titled S03E03. Episodes numbered from TheTVDB still
ignore the series and episode overrides. - When iPlayer has only one programme of a show's name and it is from
another era, for example "Show (1992-2000)" in a search for the 2024
series, a search no longer returns it with the searched series' TVDB
ID, unless TheTVDB numbers it for that series. Two or more such
programmes were already left out. The era check also counts a brand
of the searched era that iPlayer lists but whose episodes it failed
to send, so the bare "Doctor Who" no longer stands in for Doctor Who
(2005), and it takes the year from a stored series' name when the
series was stored without one. - The weekly image rebuild could hang until it timed out: under
emulation for the arm64 image, npm cisometimes died with "Illegal
instruction" and never returned. The frontend and the Go binary are
now built natively and cross-compiled, so only the runtime image's
packages are installed under emulation.
Upgrade notes - Release titles from a search by TVDB ID change for the series listed
above. A release you blocklisted in Sonarr under its old title can be
offered again under the new one. - A Show Override's custom name no longer applies to a search by TVDB
ID, whose results now carry Sonarr's name for the series. Its
numbering still applies, and the RSS feed and text searches still use
the custom name. - Episodes Sonarr imported before this release may be filed as another
episode, for example classic Doctor Who serial parts, Red Dwarf X to
XII as Series 1, or QI's lettered series as Series 1. They are worth
checking. To replace a wrong one, delete its entry from History on
iplayer-arr's dashboard, delete the file in Sonarr and search for the
episode again, as the 1.9.0 notes describe.
