VortX 0.3.11 (build 158, pre-release). Build 157 plus native cache-check for AllDebrid and Premiumize, so cached sources on those accounts resolve straight through your own account like TorBox already did. Everything from build 157 is here too: sign in to your VortX account on Apple TV by QR (not only Stremio), reorder your add-ons in the app, Apple TV returns you to the episode you are actually on after auto-play, the back-to-top button, the account and add-on security hardening, the Mac crash and source-list freeze fixes, exact-source Continue Watching and Play from start, true Dolby Vision on Apple TV, and the iPhone and iPad download fix. In testing; this becomes the 0.3.12 release once it is verified on-device. In-place update, nothing resets.

New in build 158

  • Cached sources on your own AllDebrid or Premiumize account now resolve natively, the same way TorBox already did. The app can already ask your TorBox account whether a torrent is instantly cached and, if so, play it as a direct link straight through your account. It now does the same for AllDebrid (its magnet/instant check) and Premiumize (its cache/check): a torrent your AllDebrid or Premiumize account has cached gets the instant badge, ranks alongside your other cached sources, and plays through your own account without waiting on an add-on to resolve it. Real-Debrid permanently removed its cache-check endpoint upstream in late 2024, so Real-Debrid sources keep resolving through your add-ons as before. No change unless you have an AllDebrid or Premiumize key, and any hiccup in the check falls back to exactly the old behavior (it can only help, never regress). This is also the groundwork the community source pool needs to resolve per-user.

Also in build 158 (from build 157)

  • Apple TV can sign in to your VortX account by QR, not only Stremio. The Apple TV sign-in screen now leads with VortX, the account that owns your add-ons, library, and cross-device sync. It shows a QR code and a short code. On your phone (or any browser) already signed in to VortX, scan the QR, or open vortx.tv/approve and enter the code, then approve. The Apple TV signs into your VortX account and pulls your add-ons and library. Your account key is handed to that specific TV with an end-to-end key exchange, so the relay that carries it never sees your key. Connecting a Stremio account (its own QR link, or email and password) is still here, now as a secondary "bring your Stremio library" step. Scan the TV's QR with your phone camera to approve it, a typed code alone is not enough because the device key travels in the QR.
  • Reorder your add-ons right in the app. Add-ons has a Reorder add-ons screen: drag any add-on up or down to set the order, the priority order for which add-on's catalogs and sources come first, and it is pushed to your account the moment you finish so it converges with your other devices and the web dashboard. iPhone, iPad, and Mac (tvOS ordering stays on the dashboard).
  • Apple TV: Back after continuous play returns to the episode you are now on, and there is now a back-to-top button on Home and Discover (iPhone, iPad, Mac).
  • Security hardening for your account and add-ons. Sign-in and recovery reject a weakened password-hardening setting from a spoofed server before it can touch your key. Add-on status checks no longer ping private or home-network addresses. Your encrypted account backup gains read support for a version-bound format that stops a tampered backup server from quietly serving an old copy (read-only for now across the apps and website, switched on in a later step).
  • From build 155: on Mac, opening a title while its sources are still loading no longer crashes the app, and the Mac app no longer freezes or force-quits while a source list loads. Play from start replays the source you were watching, never a different one. Continue Watching resumes instantly when you come back soon. iPhone and iPad downloads no longer fail with a false "not enough storage" or a cannot-create-file error. Dolby Vision switches your Apple TV into its Dolby Vision mode, not just HDR10 (Match Dynamic Range must be on in tvOS Settings, Video and Audio, Match Content). Removing an add-on clears its sources right away, and community (Singularity) sources render inline with your other sources.

Everything from build 153 is still here too (the Add-ons screen memory fix, the Apple TV add-on-list scroll and reliable remove, the Dolby Vision watchdog on Apple TV, forced subtitles by their real flag, out-of-date-sync deletion tombstones, and the diagnostic-log clear-on-export). See CHANGELOG.md for the complete list.

Please test

  • AllDebrid or Premiumize (if you have a key): open a title, and a source your AllDebrid or Premiumize account has cached should show the instant badge and start playing straight through your account, without an add-on resolving it first.
  • Apple TV, sign in to VortX: open Sign In on the Apple TV. It shows a QR and a code. On your phone (signed in to VortX at vortx.tv), scan the QR, then tap Approve this device. The Apple TV should sign into your VortX account and load your add-ons and library.
  • Apple TV, back to episode: start a series, let auto-play carry you into a later episode, then press Back or Menu. Details should land on the episode you ended up on.
  • Mac: open a popular movie with a huge source list, like Dune: Part Two, while its sources are still loading, and open and close a few titles in a row. It should never crash or force-quit and should stay responsive.
  • iPhone or iPad: download a large file, including with the screen locked. It should finish.
  • Apple TV: play a true Dolby Vision file (including a Profile 7 Blu-ray remux) with Match Dynamic Range on, and confirm the TV shows Dolby Vision, not HDR10.

Install

Mac (.dmg, easiest, never expires). Download VortX-macOS-v0.3.11-b158-ci.dmg, drag VortX into Applications, then clear Apple's one-time quarantine: open it once, click Done, then System Settings > Privacy & Security > Open Anyway (or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/VortX.app). Full guide: Install on Mac.

iPhone, iPad, Apple TV (sideload the IPA). The IPAs are unsigned, because VortX is open-source and distributed outside the App Store with no Apple Developer ID yet, so you re-sign them yourself with Sideloadly, AltStore / SideStore, or Signulous. No jailbreak. Full guide: Installing on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV.

Each asset lists a SHA-256 checksum (SHA256SUMS-ci.txt) so you can confirm your download matches what the public GitHub Actions workflow built from this code.
