VortX 0.3.11 (build 153). A re-cut of the 0.3.11 prerelease that fixes the issues device testing surfaced, on top of everything already in 0.3.11. In-place update, nothing resets.

Fixed in build 153

  • The Add-ons screen no longer bogs the app down, especially on Mac. Opening Add-ons with a full account's worth of add-ons could balloon memory toward a gigabyte and make the whole app crawl, because every add-on logo was decoded at full source resolution before being shrunk to the small icon shown. Each logo is now decoded at the size it is actually displayed at, so the screen stays light no matter how many add-ons you have.
  • Dolby Vision engages on Apple TV instead of always falling back to HDR10. A Dolby Vision file from debrid needs several seconds to open and start its on-device remux, but Apple TV gave up after only five seconds and dropped to HDR10 before the conversion had even begun (the longer wait iPhone, iPad, and Mac already used had never been carried over to Apple TV). Apple TV now waits long enough, so Dolby Vision titles, including the dual-layer Profile 7 files most 4K Blu-ray rips use, get their shot at true Dolby Vision. A genuinely dead source still falls back cleanly.
  • Foreign-dialogue (forced) subtitles turn on by themselves again. When a film is in your audio language but has a few lines in another language, the small track that translates just those lines now appears automatically. It had only ever been matched by the word "forced" in the track's name, which real forced tracks almost never carry; the app now reads the track's real forced flag, so it works on debrid and streamed sources too.
  • On Apple TV you can scroll down through your whole installed add-ons list. Focus used to stop at the "Re-check status" button and never reach the add-ons beneath it. The button is repositioned on Apple TV so pressing Down steps into the list and through every add-on.
  • Removing an add-on always takes effect now. An add-on that was visible but had arrived from a sync could make the Remove button do nothing; Remove now records the removal first and hides it immediately, still without touching your Stremio account.
  • Deleted add-ons and profiles no longer come back from an out-of-date sync. A version gate was skipping the removal fold on a manual "Sync now" or an equal-version pull, so a deletion made on another device (or the web dashboard) could be quietly re-added and jump to the top of your list. Removal tombstones now always apply.
  • Exporting the diagnostic log clears it afterward, so your next export is fresh. On Mac the log is copied to Downloads and the live log is reset; on Apple TV and iPhone it resets once the download completes.

Everything else from 0.3.11 is still here: the Apple TV playback-lag and audio-crackle fix, the Dolby Vision sustained-playback crash fix, steadier trailers, community (Singularity) sources back inside the source list, the Continuity-keyboard login fix, and the full audit hardening pass. See CHANGELOG.md for the complete list.

Please test

  • Mac: open the Add-ons screen with your full add-on list. It should stay smooth and responsive, not crawl or beachball.
  • Apple TV: on the Add-ons screen, press Down from "Re-check status" and confirm focus steps through every add-on. Remove an add-on and confirm it stays gone.
  • Apple TV: play a few Dolby Vision files (including a Profile 7 Blu-ray remux) and confirm the TV shows Dolby Vision, not HDR10.
  • Play a title with a forced-subtitle track (foreign lines over your audio language) and confirm the forced subtitles appear on their own.
  • Delete an add-on from the web dashboard, press "Sync now" on a device, and confirm it disappears and does not come back.

Install

Mac (.dmg, easiest, never expires). Download VortX-macOS-v0.3.10-ci.dmg, drag VortX into Applications, then clear Apple's one-time quarantine: open it once, click Done, then System Settings > Privacy & Security > Open Anyway (or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/VortX.app). Full guide: Install on Mac.

iPhone, iPad, Apple TV (sideload the IPA). The IPAs are unsigned, because VortX is open-source and distributed outside the App Store with no Apple Developer ID yet, so you re-sign them yourself with Sideloadly, AltStore / SideStore, or Signulous. No jailbreak. Full guide: Installing on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV.

Each asset lists a SHA-256 checksum (SHA256SUMS-ci.txt) so you can confirm your download matches what the public GitHub Actions workflow built from this code.
