The torrent + server-offline regression fixed, plus a batch of community-reported fixes.
IPAs are built by CI and attached when the workflow finishes:
- StremioX-tvOS-0.2.49.ipa, the full app with the embedded streaming server.
- StremioX-tvOS-lite-0.2.49.ipa, the lighter build that plays direct and debrid links only.
Fixes
- Torrents play again, and the server stops going offline. Auto-failover had been leaving every tried torrent's engine running on the embedded server; a few of them piled up until the server ran out of memory and stopped responding, which broke torrent playback until a relaunch. The player now cleanly shuts down a torrent's engine the instant it switches source, fails over, changes episode, or closes, so only one runs at a time.
- App text size actually changes now, live, with a Smaller / Larger stepper under Settings, Appearance.
- Opening a title no longer traps a tab. Returning to Search (or any tab) lands on its own page instead of the detail page you opened.
- Fake "4K" files are filtered out. A source that claims 4K or 1080p but is far too small to be real video drops below every genuine source, so a mislabelled tiny file is never auto-picked.
New
- Subtitle fine-size control: a Smaller / Bigger stepper in Settings and in the player, on top of the size presets; it follows your profile.
- The external-player handoff lists more players (Infuse, VLC, Sen Player, OutPlayer, nPlayer, MX Player), and shows the full list if it can't detect which you have installed.
- Header-gated add-on streams now play. Some add-ons front servers that only answer requests carrying a specific referer or browser identity; those streams now route through the embedded server's proxy, the same way the official app handles them. (Full build only.)
- Language-aware ranking: when a source clearly advertises a foreign audio language and you have a preferred audio language set, it ranks below a same-tier source in your language, so a 1080p source in your language can win over a 4K in another. Cached and your source-type order still come first.
If a new build does not seem to install, delete the app first and reinstall, then confirm the version in Settings.
