Better source selection, smoother scrubbing, and a working audio path for soundbars.
Two builds are attached:
- StremioX-tvOS-0.2.43.ipa, the full app with the embedded streaming server (torrents, debrid, direct links).
- StremioX-tvOS-lite-0.2.43.ipa, the lighter build that plays direct and debrid links only, no embedded server. This was previously named Direct.
What's new
- Watch Now picks the genuinely best source. Ranking now weighs file size (a bitrate proxy: a 4K remux is far larger than a 4K WEB-DL) and lossless audio (Atmos, TrueHD, DTS-HD), so it stops settling for a basic 4K from whichever add-on answered first and plays the best release instead. Instant cached sources still win, as before.
- Smooth, predictable scrubbing. Holding to seek now glides across the timeline at an even, controllable pace instead of jumping by wildly different amounts.
- Audio reaches the TV and soundbars over HDMI eARC. The player now claims a movie-playback audio session before starting, which fixes setups that had no sound at all and lets decoded multichannel audio reach a receiver.
Fixes and changes
- In Settings and the profile editor, pressing Down moves to the next row even when the focused item sits off to one side.
- The slimmer Apple TV build is now StremioX Lite (it was StremioX Direct). Install it over your existing one and your sign-in and settings carry over. The Direct Links Only switch in the Full build keeps its name.
If a new build does not seem to install, delete the app first and reinstall, then confirm the version in Settings.
