The torrent release. Everything since 0.2.27, tested through the pre-release builds, in one update.

Torrents

• Torrents play now. Two real bugs fixed: the player gave the engine only seconds before giving up (a cold swarm needs 20 to 60+), and swarms could not form reliably because peer discovery leaned on UDP, which is unreliable inside the app runtime. The player now waits out the warm-up with live peer count and speed under the spinner, and every torrent announces over plain TCP/TLS trackers as well, so swarms form regardless.
• Direct Links Only. A new Playback setting hides torrent and magnet sources entirely and keeps the torrent engine off, for debrid users who never want an accidental peer connection without a VPN. Contributed by @OrigamiSpace.
• A second build flavor: StremioX Direct. A smaller IPA that does not bundle the torrent engine at all, for installs that will only ever play direct and debrid links. Also contributed by @OrigamiSpace.

Seamless watching

• Binge auto-next holds the release. The next episode locks to the same release group as the one playing, on every resolve path, so episode 2 does not jump quality, edition, or release group mid-binge.
• Per-series quality memory. Watch Now remembers, per series and per profile, what quality you last played and opens in it again. Cached and instant sources still win.
• Mid-playback stall recovery. A frozen picture that is not buffering gets quietly reloaded in place at your position; if a source keeps stalling, you land on the source list instead of a dead screen.
• One-press source switch on failure. When a stream fails, Select jumps straight to the other sources.

Player

• Stream link on your phone. The Playback panel can show the playing stream as a QR code: scan it to open the link on your phone, or to grab the magnet for a torrent.
• Dolby Vision / HDR compatibility toggle. Tone-maps HDR and Dolby Vision to SDR for setups where 4K Dolby Vision remuxes come out green, purple, or washed out. Off by default.
• Play a link, fully grown. From Search: direct video URLs, magnet links, bare hosts, and debrid or usenet links your service resolved to http(s).

Look and feel

• Theme-colored focus halo. Home, Discover, Library, and the Settings accent swatches glow in your accent color around whatever is focused, sized so it never clips at a row edge.

Under the hood

• Embedded streaming server updated to 4.21.0.
• Browsing performance: Continue Watching no longer re-reads its resume-link store from disk on every screen refresh.
• Mid-playback source switches announce torrents to the engine properly.
• The resume link store, playback request, and ranking all understand torrents, release groups, and quality signatures end to end.

Install

Sideload StremioX-tvOS-0.2.35.ipa onto Apple TV, or StremioX-tvOS-direct-0.2.35.ipa for the smaller torrent-free flavor. Verified -ci builds attach with checksums.
