This release contains updates and improvements to the official release of the VORON Trident 3d printer.
If you're just getting started with your Trident build, the files attached to this release contain the most up-to-date parts required for your Voron 3D printer. If you are currently building, or have already built your Trident, please check the list of fixes and updates below and determine whether you need to update your printer accordingly.
The following fixes and updates have been made since the previous release:
Updated BA Stepper mounts:
-Supper for long shaft stepper double shear setup
-Shorter, easier to route, belt path (53mm shorter)
-Steppers mount with all 4 screws.
-Shifted mount position by 3mm for more Y travel
-Main plates are 6mm thick (previously 5mm)
XY Joints
-Corrected idler .173mm offset
-Shorted the assembly by 5mm
-Added accent to lower half
-Improved belt routing
Front Idlers/Tensioners
-Derived from clee BFI (beefy front idlers)
-Single screw adjustment
-PTFE guides for tensioner carriage
-Improved belt routing
-Allows an additional 3mm travel in Y
Z Stepper Mounts
-Stepper mounts bolt to inside of frame rather than from the top
-Shifts steppers down 16mm allowing more toolhead clearance
-Built in wire pathway
Z Carriages
-Relocated GE5C pivot point to allow additional bed position adjustment in Y
-Rear carriage, relocated MGN9 rail to the left side of the extrusion
-Rear carriage, added accent piece
-Modified, shorter, upper extrusion brackets
-Uses inserts for cable chain mount
Other Updates
-Updated PTFE inlet plate
-Side spool mount
-Updated PTFE holder
-Skirt corners shifted by 1mm to lessen skirt gaps
-Skirt corners use M5 heatset rather than hex nut
-Keystone skirt uses construct insert for better fit
-Updated assembly manual.
