Venture 0.1.3.1
Fixed
- First Steps closed right after starting: its avatar system needs a part of the Quest's system software. Venture now provides a stand-in, so games using it start; avatars don't appear.
- Guitar Gods crashed when it checked whether the microphone was in use.
- Prey VR didn't start on SteamVR: it requires an OpenXR extension that SteamVR doesn't provide. Venture now provides it on every runtime.
- Sound crackled on Linux (PipeWire) in games like Resident Evil 4: Venture now uses larger audio buffers on Linux.
Diagnostics
- If a game hangs before showing anything, or is closed before it does, its log now records where the game was stuck.
- Logs now record audio dropouts, so a debug report shows whether crackling came from starved audio.
If a game crashes or freezes on this version, please send a new debug report: after a crash, use Report issue on the game's page; after a freeze, use Settings > Upload debug report.
Everything from 0.1.3 is included.
