• with useLegacyNaming: false and a known component kind, vm.selectorLabels (and therefore vm.commonLabels and vm.podLabels) now also set managed-by: vm-operator, matching the label the VictoriaMetrics operator unconditionally adds to its own selectors. Selector, serviceName and volumeClaimTemplates are immutable on Deployments/StatefulSets, so without this a chart release could never adopt operator-created workloads in place - only delete and recreate them.
