• with useLegacyNaming: false and a known component kind (kindOverride or a vm/vl/vt-prefixed appKey), vm.selectorLabels, vm.commonLabels, vm.podLabels and vm.labels now render the labels used by the VictoriaMetrics operator: app.kubernetes.io/name: <kind>, app.kubernetes.io/instance: <release> and app.kubernetes.io/component: monitoring. Ownership labels such as app.kubernetes.io/managed-by are not changed. Labels are unchanged with legacy naming or when the kind is unknown. Callers must pass the same context to every label helper of a component, since selectors now depend on the kind.
