Released at 2026-11-05
Update note 1: vtagent now exports data in OTLP. -remoteWrite.url must point to an OTLP/HTTP traces endpoint such as http://victoria-traces:10428/insert/opentelemetry/v1/traces instead of /insert/native. The -remoteWrite.format command-line flag and the /insert/native ingestion endpoint of vtagent are removed. The default value for -opentelemetry.traces.maxRequestSize is changed from 64MiB to 32MiB, and the default value for -remoteWrite.maxBlockSize is changed from 8MiB to 32MiB. Requests bigger than -remoteWrite.maxBlockSize are rejected. See these docs for details.
Update note 2: TLS for the OTLP gRPC server is now disabled by default, the same as -tls for -httpListenAddr. Set -otlpGRPC.tls explicitly in order to keep accepting OTLP gRPC requests over TLS at -otlpGRPCListenAddr.

SECURITY: upgrade Go builder from Go1.27.2 to Go1.27.3. See the list of issues addressed in Go1.27.3.

FEATURE: logstorage: upgrade VictoriaLogs dependency from v1.52.0 to v1.53.0.
-
FEATURE: VictoriaTraces, and vtagent: add
-healthcheckcommand-line flag, which checks that the running process accepts connections at-httpListenAddrand exits with non-zero code if the check fails. This allows setting up DockerHEALTHCHECKin images withoutcurlorwget. See these docs and VictoriaLogs issue #1565. -
FEATURE: vtagent: buffer and forward OTLP trace export requests as is, without converting them to log rows, and send them to
-remoteWrite.urlover OTLP/HTTP protobuf. This makes vtagent useful for non-VictoriaTraces users, and allows using any OTLP-compatible backend as remote storage.
